clio 172 cup throttle cable/electronic cable?

hi guys is a 172 cup the same as phase one in the fact that it runs on a throttle cable or is it electronic throttle wire?

James5 is the guy to ask as he worked with a phase 2 172 and had to convert it to wire.

I think 172 cups had the electric throttle, you can always re drill the plenum and put a 172 cable throttle on it.


Or you can buy a phase 1 plenum for around £25 and fit the phase 1 cable throttle and idle control valve.

The phase 1 cars were chassis code CB0M and engine code F4R730
172 cups were CB1N and engine code F4R736

182's were something else but engine code F4R740.

I'm using a 182 engine with phase1 plenum, throttle and phase 1 loom/ecu.
