Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen

It better be an improvement on the first cheesy, comedic, feckless offering that was all but bereft of links back to the classic cartoon.

Looking at the trailer, I'm likely to go and watch it but I'm not holding out much hope that it's going to go where I believe they should be taking this anthology.

forgive me for breaking the common chain, but i really enjoyed the first, the whoel cornyness just added to the enjoyment. But yea there a few tiny bits that niggled me but certainly was enjoyable. Maybe i went with lower expectations or somthing.

How old are you mate? Genuine question. If you weren't of the right age group when the original was out the first time round (say 6-13), you probably wont have the same wishes/expectations for the style of the current movies.

Thats just it, I think the only people who found the film disappointing were those who loved the original cartoon/movie.

I for one thought the film was ****e and yes Michael Bay is also a nobber right up there with whats his face, W.S Anderson or something (AVP, resident evil, mortal kombat list goes on...).

Original Animated movie ftw, it also has one of the best soundtracks ever!

It is based on a cheesy comic book so it will be cheesy you can't expect any more than that.

The cartoon was aimed at children so was a bit tame in the violence department admittedly but wasn't overly whiffy. The early comics were more gritty but parallel the smart, Arrival from Cybertron story line.

The cheese has been solely introduced by the latest films.

Re: Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen

I've got to disagree... as 'Hollywood' as the origional was, I still enjoyed it. Ok, so I dont still bum Transformers to death and know the storyline inside-out, but it was nice having a chunk of my childhood back.

At the end of the day, Transformers still OWN Gobots. End of.

Memory lane anyone? Lets get started...

These comments are like swiss cheese Timmy. That's ok though mate, this thread is divided reasonably equally and you're affirming your affiliation.

Just glad I fall in the winners circle and not the losers
