    If you're going to play poker stay away from the tables during the day ... this is when the sharks are out picking on poor, intoxicated tourists

    You have to check out the buffet at the Bellagio, it's immense!

    Also, you can get a trip to the Grand Canyon from Vegas ... something not to be missed.

    If you like acrobatic shows, they have some Cirque du Soleil productions, Mystere (which a couple of my mates used to be in) and O.

    By the way, I've never been to Vegas, but these are the things everyone comes back talking about ... but check out this website to see what's on http://www.bestofvegas.com/

    New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    I've been to Vegas 3 times, love it, best place in the world if you don't mind everything being way over the top!

    You don't have to spend lots of money as theres plenty to keep you going for free if you look around (its a good idea to get a guide book before you go to get the best tips), there are voucher books you can get at hotel lobbys or monorail stations to get half price show tickets or bogof on drinks etc.

    My top to do things to do are;

    1. Have dinner at the top of the stratsophere tower at sunset when the lights are coming on (unless you're going there on a stag do!)
    2. Get free drinks in the casinos when you're gambling. Put the occasional $ in a slot machine and make it last until a cocktail girl asks you if you want a drink.
    3. See the fountains at the Bellagio
    4. Go to Downtown Vegas in the eveing to see the Freemont Street light show experience
    5. Have an all you can eat buffet. The biggest one in Vegas is at the Rio which you can get a free bus to from Harrahs on the strip, its not the tastiest but it is huuuge!
    6. If you're there on a Sunday go for the Champagne breakfast buffet at Wynn.
    7. Take some comfortable shoes, its big and you'll cover a lot miles walking between the hotels

    I could go on...!
