What are you not too sure about? Are you referring to CBT or Direct Access?

the test is changeing at the end of the month , it will be harder to pass and they are making bike test centres , where you will be tested in a large car park also the road side of things ,i think its next month it changes

    Re: Bike test

Yeah the new test coming out gave me a kick to do it!

Got theory test booked plus (all being well) 5 day course!

Started training for hazard perception test with DSA software and not too confident!? Perhaps the software's not too hot!?

    Re: Bike test

i di the hazard perception test again last year when i did my LGV license, i used the dsa software and got the hang of it after a few goes. passed it no problem. maybe the bike test is a bit tougher on the hazard perception or the software aint that great

Did my Direct Access last year in 2 days. Quite tricky, mostly because the instructors were stupid chav ****s.

Well done, the practical aint to hard, but it does help on having a decent instructor... one bloke round here wanted me to do 50+ hours.... bearing in mind i am a driving instructor so i know the rules of the Road, driven bikes safely on & off since i was 16... upto 125's but even so.. the bloke was a right cock.

A decent instructor said 10 hours over 2 days... time will tell if i pass in may or not.

Thanks ... I'm doing a 5 day course so fingers crossed that will be enough! Haven't got much experience!

Anyone interested in some theory/hazard software/DVD before I ebay them at all!?

    Re: Bike test

I've always wanted to do my direct access bike test but I don't think I could trust myself on a 250+ cc road legal bike! I've recently bought an NSR125 which is pretty fast for me at the moment, if not a load of fun to drive

    Re: Bike test

Seen loads of bikes out in the last two weeks!! Sure sign thatsummers not far away! I done my test 4 years ago, had a few bikes since! The hazard perception part of the test had only just about came in when i done mine, and hadn't done it for my car test. It's nottoo bad though, just loads of practice with the dvd and you should be ok.

Have started trying to finish my other project in time for may bank holiday recently too! I did have it on the road very breifly once but i wasn't entirely happy with it so getting everything finsihed now!

How it was 2 years ago

    how it is now

I would stick to a 400 mate, PLENTY of power for your first bike if you get the right one. I have rode my mate's ZXR400 which is a nice bike performance and handling wise. Maybe consider a VFR400 too? But then it all depends on what type of bike you are after, the SV650 is quite a high riding position compared to the bikes I mentioned (which I prefer).
