Having a few turbo probs lately
so i got a new turbo oil pipe.
when i remove the plugs and crank the engine after it has been sitting for say 5 hours it took 10 seconds
of cranking for the oil to reach the turbo.i've always been aware when changing the oil filter (another horrible job)
that when it was cold it was completely empty of oil so i decided to try and sort this with a megane diesel oil filter
mounting/fitting thingy
after this little attachment its now down to 5 seconds , the filter is also under the alternator and handier to get at!!
with the NRV oil is in the 6 or 7 inches of turbo feed pipe but the oil gallery and oil filter drain down so they're empty!

I don't really remember now, but I don't think I ever waited 10 sec, or even 5 sec, for the oil pressure to rise at the pressure sensor, which was located at the start of the oil feed pipe to the turbo, at the end of the gallery.
As far as I can recall, there was no delay.
Just remembered that, before it stopped working, the gauge would first show the oil level for a few seconds, then the oil pressure.
I didn't get around to fitting an oil pressure gauge just before the turbo so never saw just how much time before the pressure rose.

remove alternator and bottom rad hose
also trim 5mm from the big bolt head on the adaptor(to avoid hitting the bottom rad hose) and make a washer at least 2,5mm thick and fit it between the oil cooler sandwich plate and the hollow stud bolt that holds it on
youll also have to cut the excess from the new oil pressure switch.....
