just wanted to say hi, i am a new member but long time Renault turbo fan, mainly the 5 turbo , i have owned several gt turbos over the years from the age of 19. i absolutely love these little cars so much so this began the start of a career with Renault as a technician, fast forward a few years i even moved over to Australia to work on the things there as Renault Master Tech. 5 years later i moved back to the uk after having kids. i always said if i moved back to the uk i would try my best to get a 5 and spend the time stripping it out and doing a nut and bolt restoration to it. i was lucky enough to source a 5 turbo pretty quick. i was after something as original as i could find and i was fortunate to find one that had been of the road for 18 years with a seized turbo. sorry if the pictures are all over the place, like i said new to this
Anyway........
nearly 2 years into the rebuild now i am almost finished. just the paint to be done. here is some of the progress from then till now.
