Maybe efi-parts.co.uk/ in the Wirral !!
Quite a few 5GTT owners from London take their 5's to him. He owns an 800bhp (or so) 5 and tunes the fastest 5's there are, as well as more normal ones with both EFI conversions and the OE carb.
Thanks for the fast reply iv herd good things from them but 210 miles is a risk in a r5 gt as it is let alone putting it on the dyno the same day
was hoping there would be more local tuners to london
I'm not entirely sure Scoff tunes carbs anymore either to be honest. Its easy enough to set it up yourself if you have the time.
Are we talking Turbo 2 here?
or a phase 2 gtt ?
there's a place over haywards heath way that specialise in classic renault's
Phase 2
i dont think they set up car up in Burgess hill unfortunately

So you are just wanting the carb adjusted to allow for increased boot pressure.
I can help with it, you got an AFR gauge installed in the car? first thing you need to purchase really, the the carb jets can be increased / decreased, worth getting a new carb gasket set aswell.
I have an AFR gauge in the car if you can give me a bit of guidance that would be great. i own my own garage to and have all tools and co machine ect thought id say to make thing easier, iv owned r5 turbo in the past but its been a while since iv messed with them

Hi James that would be great yes Car is up and running
I need to get an updated intercooler then I’m ready to go
As far as I know the car is pretty much standard
I’m looking at advise on what boost pressure is advisable on a stock engine
And fuel it accordingly
I’m only 4 miles from Horsham so could work well for me
I use to have a r5 years ago but it had been camed and had group a carbs and ran nearly 2 Bar of boost
Now I had to buy another one but boy is it it gutless as standard iv got to put a smile back on my face but at same time trying to keep the engine in one piece
I may build a big power engine but that can wait for now
So any help would be greatly appreciate
Turbo is t2 also
Personally mate if your only running a T2 then forget the uprated intercooler for the moment and get it over to James for a once over before you do anything else. James knows his stuff and will be able to give sound advice. A standard GTT should not feel gutless even compared to more modern stuff. My advice, make sure it's running right before spending any ££££.
