    Fuel System Set up?

    All,

I have been thinking about fuel systems and the best method of piping up. I am sticking with a return type system.

Have a look at the two options I propose. Pro's and Con's of each?

Wouldn't the fuel pressure in the rail be set by the pump rather than the FPR?

This page contains some useful information on fuel systems.

For simplicity I would run the traditional return to tank fuel system.

Dale, no the fuel pump delivers a specific flow rate and pressure. It's the regulator that keeps the correct and required pressure in the rail.

Lewis, cheers. Yes I'm keeping the return system. My diagrams are of two different return type setups. Which one is best I don't know.

First one if you ask me, keeping a continues flow true the rail would insure proper dividence between all 4 injectors at high demand
