    Re: Flocking

I got mine done by Thomas and Vines, http://www.flocking.co.uk/About_Us.aspx who did the WRC cars for Mitsubishi and Subaru. http://www.flocking.co.uk/Services/D...-Flocking.aspx

They are in North West outer London. just off the M25.

After 5 years it looks like the black has faded a bit to grey. Was supposed to be colour fast.

It's lot smoother than the flocking looks in those photos of yours JP. Really velvet looking. I have two lengths, short and very short, actually I could pick the fibre length from the range of available lengths from about 0.1mm up to 4mm, I picked the same as one of those big teams, forget which now. For me the whole point was anti-glare.

They could also put mixed colours, make specific colours, and add patters, logos, names, photos, whatever, all in flock.

They use the system of electrostatic charged flock and electrically conductive glue.

Cost me £46 to get the instrument binnacle and fascia around it, and dial surrounds done. That was years ago so I expect it's more now.

    Re: Flocking

Just had a price back for the rear door cards and thats £80 for the rears too. He does loads of different colours too not sure about logos but he did say i could flock my body kit and it should be ok to preasure wash it lol. As far as i know he uses the electrostatic system too.

Ian it does fell nice and soft like suede but he said he could get stuff similar to suede which might be even longer than what i had will find out what lenght his fibres are
