    Changing the Timing Chain?

I just want to clear up a few procedure things.

Does the Sump need to come off to take the Timing Cover off?

Do I need to drain the oil to take the Toming Cover off (assuming Sump stays on)?

What's best for a Sump Gasket? Paper/Cork type or Liquid Paste type?

I have pulled an Engine apart out of the car, but that was a long time ago. The Engine is currently fitted to the car.

    Woz

if u want to do it right then yes ...sump has to be removed(otherwise u wont be able to seal it right)
u don't have to drain oil to take t/cover off
the sealant is standard on a gt(maybe the phase ones used the cork)
