Grease type
Hi all, my mate is changing his 106 clutch today. It says to apply a small amount of high temp grease to the release baring, can anybody give a difinitive on the type to use.. He says copper slip?
Any help welcome

I'm not 100% but I'm sure I have read that copper grease is no good on bearings

Little bit of copper slip will be fine on the input shaft.

Do they mean on the shaft of the spinning part? When I was at a garage we had to get bearings/grease in both hands and force it into the bearing, very messy.. Rubbing it over the top and around the side does little.
I thought the days of greasing bearings had passed..

Copperslip or whatever is kicking about will do. Most of the time i dont even bother greasing the shaft
