    wayback machine & old site

Been put onto this website by a colleague http://archive.org/web/web.php

Has anyone attempted to use it before to try and recover their old pics etc??

As I was not a member of the old site I can only have had a quick browse through the pages as a guest. Although many threads are inacessable, there are a few that I have been in and had a good read of ........ worth a look?

We do have a copy off the old forum... But pics are a no no...

When we hosted it, it caused issues with the server and this website kept crashing... I will ask Ian to see if I can host it one my sever..

I managed to find my old Profile Page some time ago when I was playing with the Wayback Machine.

A lot of the old regulars profile's can't be seen as they opted for only members to see their profiles (Like Mart, BillJ, The Master etc..)

    From my profile:

"Insurance - £380 TPFT with Norwich Union. I suggest you try their website:... They certainly Quoted me happy but then again i'm now 28!"

That was 10 years ago now?! WTF!!!!?

I can't find myself on the old site.
My memory of the old site isn't quite the same now, Trying it out makes the new site feel better and improved, clearer, especially the classified section. The bit that was good on the old site was members by region etc..

Damn I forgot all about that place, seems so rubbish now compared to this site. I remover many people kicking off about the change over.
I can't seem to log in though.

I think this is the club I used to be a member of in the 90's. Was this the one that sent out the window stickers in the shape of a GT Turbo?

Managed to find my old profile, I'm not linking it tho as it's quite frankly embarrassing! considering how much my attitude to safety on the road has changed and my knowledge of these cars as a whole.

My join date was 05/03/2005 can you change mine also

I was also a member of this and even still have my old membership card. It was even before the Internet existed and all the comms were done by post and through the monthy waste gate issue.

I remember it even before that, back in the early days of the interweb - It was a bulletin board (bbs) run by a guy called Steve from Newcastle way, and was literally nothing more than a continuous list/stream of posted comments.

Was a nightmare trying to follow a conversation

Blimey, blast from the past I'm on there (the later one, as I think I actually joined in 03 or 04) but I can't remember my password
Might have been on the earlier one as I used to log in under my brothers account early on..

Have to search through the forum posts and hopefully find one you started or was last posted in.
