    fix my R5

    First post!

    is there any one in south wales that can get my almost complete R5 project up and running. can't seem to get it running it runs with choke on, it will drive but very lumpy its doing my head in

    Idle jet is blocked or has some sh1zzle in it.

    Look on the side of the carb for a big brass screw, undo it & then remove the idle jet. Look through it to check its clear.

    its a new idle valve but as you said i will check for ditritus(crap) thanks steve

    It could be a lot of things really. Start with the easy things; air leaks/clean out the carb/jets etc.

    leads on the wrong plugs, dizzy drive out of alignment?
