Removing VVT
I am going to remove the dephaser pulley on the inlet cam for the new engine but use standard 172 cams on vernier pulleys.
Does anyone know what timing advance is best on a turbo motor. I have been advised 8deg but is this best on a NA or turbo?
The vernier pulleys I am making will have a maximum of +/-8deg on each pulley, is that enough.
Is there any benefit on having a dephaser on a turbo motor for mainly track use?
Cheers
