done ,thanks
if topcat can't help, i could try looking up valeo, and hella aircon product range at work.
they do sanden stuff.
is the pulley diameter 132mm or125mm
132 Mark .
Has a CB end casing ? both ports come out 90 degree to body at top .I think TC will come up trumps but thanks
Hiya sparkie- just out of interest who do you work for? I may have dealings with you and not realise.
Clee you need to look for a Lucas Electrical ACP427 or an Elstock 51-0328, both of which are comparible to the SANDEN SD709/SD7H15 - which are comparible to:
ALFA ROMEO
60805198
FIAT
71721691
7637982
7736048
7774059
TopCat - i work for GSF Garage Equipment as their automotive aircon expert and general dogsbody.
should be fairly easy, except for the evaporator under the dash. - you could use the clio mk2 style remote evap in the scuttle tray i reckon
I wouldn't say it would be easy... I've done a few installations on 106's & 206's etc.
Like you say taking the dash out would be a pigs ear to do. Then cutting the bulkhead for a pipe run- not my idea of fun lol.
I maintain/service/repair:install refrigerated vehicles sparkie- same sort of field I guess.
Got him that compressor at a great price in the end. I can supply all types of vehicle compressors- I'm cheaper (and better) than hella too!! PM me if you want any quotes buddy.
ahh, so you actually do what i did wanna do at one point. i used to travel the UK selling, servicing and repairing aircon machines. i now do mostly tools and stuff to be honest, as our aircon program isnt cheap enough to compete. (as in auto ac machines ).
Well if you ever decide to move down south let me know! I'm in need of an engineer lol
a degree in materials science, an admin job in the automotive industry for the last 12 years and an FGas license doesnt make me an ideal candidate.
Comp turned up today .Thanks TC .
Been on the rollers all day so not opened the box yet ,I'm sure it'll be all correct fittings etc but will let you know .
is the compressor prelubricated?
remember to dip the new seals in PAG/PAO oil before you fit em
TC says it has transport oil and has advised what to do .TBH I'm just going to bolt the fecker on and will call out the local mobile fella to advise/lube and pop the lines on before re-commission
Unless you want to pop over to chew the fat about dodgy T2's and life in general whilst you do it
Good stuff mate! Yeah it's called transportation oil to keep the seals moist etc- i use Poe68 oil- if u need any let me know ill post some up foc on Monday buddy
