Got any pics?
Will do you a pick now its really good
yes give me a few minute to sort them i have pics of other downpipe i have made recently in my profile.
nice goin liam, id like one t2 t25 fitting, what sort of price...
What are you charging for them?
£250 delivered
this is the one he made me just got it today and i will be fitting it tommorow its amazeing quality
Very nice bud.. But £250s way to steep for me I'm sure it's the going rate but not for me spent way too much lately.. Chris what you going todo about your AFR bung?
looks good
what diamater are they? 2 1/2 inch?? if so I could be tempted, but a T28 flange would be required
would a bulk order have any impact on reducing the overall cost??
yes they are 2 1/2 and s/steel flange and lambda bung.
yes if there was 5 people intrested could do them for 200+p&p.
I could very well be interested in one with bung and a t28 flange for the blue meanie
I'd be ready for one at the end of January most likely.
Ross
I'd be interested in a group buy
could knock £15 off for mild steel flanges instead of stainless.
Be nice to see them under £200.. The quality of the bms downpipe was amazing and the original price was £140 delivered I think for my first, then I got one of the second batch at the same price. The batches later were around the £180 mark with the group buys and selling for more to non club members. Then big jims were £150 but less pretty hence they sold but not in waves like the bms.. Then cgb got him to make him some selling for £200..
For £200 I'd need it looking as epic as the bms, with a lower price it would roll a batch of 10 easily as then 10 excess would sell on eBay for more..
Remember us club members are tight cnuts, we had koni group buys kicking about a year ago with some hints of prices around £400.. No interest.. Then joe blogs phones them up and scores a price of £280 10 members + are chucking money at them.
These are something them members want but they don't just open there wallets, you have to tickle there balls first.
I have a bms down pipe, the quality is amazing, he made one off for me true gent. Lets tickle his balls for another batch I need a bigger one
Am in need of one of these. But not at that price! Plus can the bung be put up to just after the bend of the turbo rather then near the bottom?
Elliott
Thing is this lad is makeing them in his spare time how much is an enlarged elbow and in stainless and an enlarged stainless down pipe? i am well happy with the price and quality i shall fit it on tommorow and will take photos and a big thanks to liam
i'm sorry that everyone feels they are rather expensive but it was 5 years or so ago when boris and big jim started making them but the price of materials have increased some what since. If i could get the materials cheaper i could by all means make the pipe cheaper. As for the moment £200 for 5 or more would be as low as i could go and £225 for singles.
p.s if any has anyone contacts for materials that may be cheaper than where i get mine i can make enquiries. Which will only make the pipe cheaper.
Btw they look very impressive, nices skills
i do shop around for cheaper prices but the flanges i have laser cut and dont buy them of the shelf and get the tight mandrel bends from a supplier and the large swept bend bent out of a lengthof pipe so please dont think that im not trying to cut out the midlemen.

Off subject groky, but you seem handy, maybe look at making manifolds etc exhaust and bits for EFI
i have made manifold recently i'm currently making a manifold for r5 scotty for his f4r conversion, but on hold at the moment until i get my engine out of my 5 and out of my clio so i can mock the collectors position. not taking the engine out just for that thought both engine need work doing.

It's nice to see people are still intrested in the one-peice downpipe I created a year or so ago, at the time it was enjoyable making them.
On the last batch I made the prices of the laser cut flanges had increased, and the d/p price reflected that, the cheapest I could make them now would be around 160/170.
That's taking into account the laser cut flanges, mandrell bent pipe, lambda b+b, p+p, time taken to make ect.. Unfortunatly I can't sell them for any cheaper.
Anyways, it seems https://www.rtoc.org/boards/member.php?u=765 is ready to make a few using the jig from the 'msm' day's, sound's intresting as the one I saw looked nice. Im not in a rush to make any more so see what Jim is saying. (including pics/price?) If there any good im sure it will sort out the few people wanting a downpipe upgrade.
And is Scott K making some more 3" downipes?
i have removed my old down pipe and fitted the one supplied by liam this morning. it fits really well i have just bolted it up with a couple of bolts so you can see it fitted because i want to wrap it, but it fits and clears everything but as its a 2 1/2" i am goin to shorten my heater matrix pipes just to give it abit more of a gap cheers liam

Yea i am pleased with it and its 2 1/2" for some reason i wrote 3"
Guys I can tell you stainless steel had gone up on price recently, I was at piper the other day and they said there having to up there prices, they had sourced a cheaper supplier for the same quality grade steel.. But that steel rippled as it was a fraction thinner...
£200 for a group buy ain't a bad price...
I can't really see the issue with the price to be fair, if the quality is good then why not pay the guy for his skills
After all if it was that easy then we would all be knocking up our own versions, half the reason the other guys stopped bothering making them was because it wasn't really worth their time and effort
imo we should be willing to make it worthwhile for someone to make these rather than trying to knock down the price
200 for a group buy price is very fair i think, iv got my bms, if not i would be putting my name down
