Class no doubt it will go for good money.
it was only 500 a few mins ago
Very interesting but hardly a barn find. I'm sure there must be alot of history with this car. It looks like it's been used in competitions with the Avon Tyres fitted.
Sparkie probably knows of this car.
I hope it stays in the uk, it will probably be bought by one of the raoc members or John price rallying.
i don't know this car, although i bet Moggy would have a better idea.
i would say one thing though.
if its been 'extensively raced' , then it will have been crashed, and the rear chassis legs will be bent - unless they have been rejigged or replaced. The standard rear arms are fixed, and i see they have fitted the ones with the adjustable rose joint on TDC style. - this can adjust the toe in/out easily if the car is crabbing.- the standard set up needs spacers between the chassis leg and the wishbone mount....
I know it .Came from Germany with another complete car as a full race package
Had someone in negotiations to buy but they couldn't agree on price and incl parts .
GTA has the same toe in/out ' mechanism ' I'm binning it and going full rose on the GTA race build ....if it ever comes out from under the car cover
My guess it sells at £18k
id of thought a turbo 1 with some heritage would go for quite a bit more? i wonder what history he has with it.
Some extra pics

pic 7 out of 9. the chassis strengthening bar is spaced out on the left side from the chassis. - i think the bolt also acts as the pick up point for the lower wishbone too - from memory that is.
Wow this has just shot up from £7k to £10k ! Word must be out on the raoc.
Yeh ..we're all minted on there
I very much doubt anyone on raoc will be bidding .It is going to cost a fair bit to put back together .DIY to make any real financial sense .
hmmm, i wonder who could put it all back together.... not many people with the knowledge.
even less with the money. - i'm out. lol
with my limited knowledge it looks to be mostly there to be up and running/driving around/competeing with? obviously gaskets nuts and bolts and things. what else is there you can see needed?
Would be awesome to own one of these beuties~ tis a shame I'm poor
Price has been moving steady since it was listed....... so any advance on 18k?
Agreed..
Such as this monster, and still have a few £k left over for fuel

True but u gotta compare apples to apples as this car is a 5 turbo 1-2 and not a tour de course or maxi.
Ps I've read that 8221 turbo 2's had aluminium roofs to allow the homoligation of the maxi? So does that mean this maybe a turbo 2 after all?
The current eBay bid is £15,100 with 10 hrs to go.
If it was made in 1981 it must be a turbo 1 as turbos 2's wernt made until 1983>
so that means it should have aluminium roof, doors and tailgate, polyester bonnet and wings.
its a bit of a mash up. - unbuilt too.
i hope the clutch is ok, else thats gonna be another £1000.
i dunno about the guy claiming the fuel tanks are £100... - maybe for a aluminium box type - certainly not for the two linked chair shaped ones you sit on in a std car....?
over 17k now and I reckon my interested party budgeted at 12 max if we were to stand any chance of staying in budget on the rebuild .
Mind it looks in better shape than a certain 8221
I wish I had that's sort of cash spare.
Did anyone on here buy it?
The mad thing is that for only 10k more you could have this .Finished ,mint and road legal .Still a hell of a lot of money for what it is and how it drives but it's all about the heritage innit ...
