We've previously had people like Autoglym at our trackdays, does anyone have a mate that owns a company who'd like a stand?

I emailed autosmart and this is the reply I got should I leave it with you to follow up as you could give them more info than me.

Autosmart International Ltd,
this is something that id of loved to have sorted out if id of been given the role i have now earlier, i have invited pfc and ppc along, id like to try and get ktec etc and even try get some sort of detailing company along
hows about inviting autobrite or autoglym ?
iv just sent autobrite an email, they are actually based about 10-15 mins from my house
I tried to contact a bunch of companies, including Autoglym and they couldn't be bothered to reply - any help will be much appreciated as time is proving difficult to come by with the huge list of stuff I already have for Blyton - there's very few of us actively working on this project so we're all snowed! (On track though, don't worry guys)
Blunty has been doing a great job getting stuck in already and being extremely helpful!
I may be interested incoming down with my new business if i can get it up and running before ND, I'm becoming a dealer for Terraclean
http://randstadonline.co.uk/TerraClean/index3.html
I asked them yesterday and they said carbs were no problem
that sounds like a plan fella, i actually seen this the other day on wheeler dealers, looks an impressive bit of kit, how much does it cost on average ?
Was this the thing on that jag? I wasted £3 trying to win that ha ha.. I didn't win it
What about some sort of mobile rolling road companey
they are already booked fella, mtech automotive
Oh sorry what bout 0-60 timed runs i am just trying to think of a few things
i take it mike from gt turbo spares will have a stall there again?
I personally think scoff should have a stand there if hes available as.i know he is very busy at efi parts
Im actually going send ktec an email over once i finish work. As much as opinion is divided on them they ate prob the largest renault tuning specialists out there amd do have a few decent staff cars they could bring along. Also going contqct rs tuning as they seem to be working wonders with renaults atm
Turbo Developments won't want a stand there, it's a complete waste of their time (in Adam's words lol)
K-Tec, I thought everyone slagged them off constantly - it didn't even cross my mind that anyone would want them there - I was more concerned about the association it'd bring/ what it might represent but if people want them there then Blunty has said he doesn't mind getting in touch
Id agree that ktec would get a mixed response but this is called the renault turbo uk festival after all and like it or not they are a big name in the renault tuning world. I personally think it would be good to have them and as many firms along as possible this year as it all adds to the appeal and.hopefully will generate even more interest for next year, maybe even have the companies contacting us to attend
Yeah fair enough if members want it, it just hadn't crossed my mind. Have struggled with interest so far this year which is a shame, still more we can do though.
Oh and I've spoken to Scoff, he won't be having a stand this year as he said aside from the widebands most of his parts aren't relevant to our members and he hasn't had to chance to sort his own car out yet, fair enough
Ive also spoke to CGB and his response was
Thanks for your offer but as you can imagine it puts us in a tricky situation as we are not very popular with the RTOC so don't think it would be appropriate.
But I have spoke to him a little more and I he said he is going to have a think about it
I agree i have used mike and cgb and both have been great cgb does break cars but i have been there and the ones he breaks a generally crap and theres people on here who break cars whats the diffrence at end of the day we all need money and if you can make alot more breaking ur car than selling it whole not many people cant afford not to
My 5 is alive with the great help and service from cgb..
I think it woudnt do any harm if more people was to encourage cgb to attend and wipe the slate clean and try and build some bridges! Especially if mike doesn't attent and the guys on track needs parts what's going to happen?
i shall contact cgb later on with regards to this, as you state it might be time to build some bridges etc and this is what im intending to do
on another note have the guys from the renault alpine owners club and renaultsport been invited?
Ktec,CGB and RS Tuning all emailed lets hope we get some positive replies
I can't see the likes of K-Tec turning up, to be honest in my opinion (and its mine only) i wouldn't want them there as what have they bought to the club?
No time for them and wouldn't have any interest in looking at there stuff or cars at all, but thats just me
On the subject of inviting over clubs along, if we still have tickets for sale them fair do's but on the flip side do we as a club ever get invited to there shows/meets? Worth thinking about as i hate to see it as a one sided thing and we pay for there members to have a day out and we get pushed out of theres

mark i hear what your saying regarding ktec etc, but as iv said this is called the renault turbo uk festival, so maybe its not a bad idea to get a few different renault based companies and groups along, then maybe we will get the same in return and ill work hard at trying to integrate other clubs with us and more so vice versa.
Far play for trying mate and all respect giving for doing it, just for me i like it when its kept to RTOC members and companies that benefit/help the club rather than the money grabbers that tuners of yester-year use to be which show no interest of helping the club (going on response from past threads they posted in).
We did have them before at a Nat Day at the pod, think its was 2005. As there pretty much the only old school 5 tuner out there still i seems i'm only having pop against them but its not
Last thing i'd hate to see is it turn into another French Car Show if we attract all the others clubs and companies, in the end its a day put on by RTOC for RTOC members in my eyes.
But its only my opinion, not rocking boat or anything. Either way will be great day and i'll be there rolling round in the extra van and on the lash in the evening!
ok mark thats fair enough fella, and trust me i dont want it be a french car show either. and oh yes ill defo be on the lash
An under 2ltr petrol costs about £50-60, i haven't worked our exact prices yet but i will offer it cheaper than that for club members.
Only problem I'm having just now is i don't have an emissions tester to prove how well it works, rolling road runs would prove it but could be expensive for an owner to pay out for 2 runs
that seems like a fantastic price matey, i take it that it can be used on diesel vehicles as well
Scott, if you're defo interested would you mind just droppping me a PM so we can add you to our list please
Yeah I can do diesels to but it's a different machine I use, the diesels are a bit more expensive as the charge is based on the quantity of treatment used and the amount used depends on how much carbon has built up.
I'm not sure it would be worth taking the diesel machine down with me as it's not exactly small and i would have to take the petrol machine, compressor, consumables and possibly the generator too so won't have much space as I'd have to fit it all in my campervan.
I'll send a pm now Dawn
I think the likes of k-tec will just be there latest creations going around the track and then buggering off. They have nothing to show these days but there old ££££ invoices in people's history folders.
It's a national day really for the people who own/owned and still admire really the 5 gt turbo, I wouldn't say it's a Renault festival as such and for that reason I just think k-tech stamped there piece of gt turbo history and have moved on.
Ok, I'm gonna try and do my best to get organised to bring the petrol Terraclean machine down.
I'm going to do an emissions test on Miller's car at an mot station with print-out for proof and Chris as a witness, then run the treatment with pics taken, then another emissions test with more pics, I'll post that up in a new thread for you all to see.
I'll also post prices for members and let you all know how many spaces would be available (roughly) on the day, I'll then start a list to take bookings.
The treatment takes around 40 mins to carry out so that's why I'm restricted with numbers.
I won't have an emissions tester but an idea i had was that someone wanting a treatment could go out on track for a few laps, come in for the treatment then go back out on track to feel the difference, anyone wishing to try it this way would need to let me know so i could arrange it to fit in/around those not doing it this way.
from a good talk to him before about him on rtoc or even anythink to do with meets ect im not suprised from his responce tbh,its a shame yes i think but would be great to see him at the national day for example.he has a fair few renaults as well and dose know a fair bit about them, ppl want to deal with him and pay his prices yeh then do if not then dont.but he has a fair bit of business going on now and doing well, not just in the uk either, you would be suprised on where he sends his parts to.you need a part and he has it.
Had a reply from ktec stating they wont be able to make it at such short notice. Ppc also cant make it. Still waiting on the others
got a reply from autobrite last night and unfortunately they cant make it due to having a group/meet training session at there unit that weekend.
on another note iv now invited autosmart along and look forward to hearing back off them
