    cheap slicks

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/180mm-wide-13-...1%7C240%3A1318

they are nothing to do with me, but at £6 each i thought they might help a few of you for trackdays for pocket money.

these ones are more money if you dont want ones that have gone hard.

    Re: cheap slicks

i left a set in my garage for a year, so i assume they went hard , still worked fine imo. im holding to many at the moment so im out this time, just got myself 4 wets so looking forward to rainy session at the track. if i lived closer i would buy loads but the postage is the killer.

Yep, that's exactly £54 more than you'd pay if you went to a race meet and got a set, or ten

In all honesty though, if you don't fancy a day out watching some cracking motorsport action, with a load of tyres chucked in for free, then it is a pretty good price.

    Re: cheap slicks

These slicks are left in stacks the pits after a F Renault day and you can fill your boot with them. The 13" are from the front wheeels and the 15" are the rear wheels, they also leave wets, they look more road legal, just need a hot solding iron to remove "for track use only". Great day out and free slicks!!!!

    Re: cheap slicks

If your slicks have gone hard, you could treat them with some GRIP.

I treat all my tires before I go racing. It will soften any tire up.

They're 13's on the rear as well as the front. Have you felt how soft the wets are? You'd tear them to shreds in about five minutes on the British roads. I'd not even think about using them anywhere other than on track.

I use the 15" wets on my RS Turbo van they held together alright. As they are free not too worried if I have to change them that often.
