Get an AFR gauge & play around with the carb....

Nothing wrong with OE intake & exhaust .

for me oe exhaust seems too restrictive after the mods then you can play with finishing the correct fueling

    get a full service

then get someone to play with the carb and increase the boost to 1 bar, get the intercooler strapped or buy an aftermarket alloy replacement one

I'm a new member and I listened to these guys talk to scoff as I did the best thing I bought first was the AFR kit.. Find out your fuel and progress from there. Amazing bit of kit..

    Re: where to start modding

without going internal what i did for a good set up i liked was
enlarrged elbow, downpipe and aftermarket exhaust
standard air filter is fine with the cold air feeds, if not cut telephone hose so aftermarket filter is not next to turbo
strapped intercooler, or similar pace replacement
14psi boost and it will feel very good over standard (be a good idea to get afr gauge to keep an eye on fueling and jet carb to suit boost)
