The 2WD Sierra Cosworth FMIC fits behind a standard bumper with a minimal shave. The 4WD does NOT however without modification.
Both require pipe runs making up.
defo look into the 2wd cosworth fmic fella can pick one up for £30-50 and induction kit wise then i rate the ramair one and they are on sale over on ebay atm £38 iirc
Where did u get your intercooler kit from andy?
got my pipework from demon motorsport around by me matey, also the air filter what i used was a piece of the larger boost hose which positions it rather nicely
Bit of custom work involved then, was the pipe work u got universal aswell?
yh its not too hard matey i could even go and measure up all the pipework and what joints/elbows you need if you wanted
Well I wouldn't say no to that lol, where did u get your cooler from mate
Keep your eyes peeled on ebay mate, also theres a couple of places around by me that tune cosworths so alot of the time they have some in stock.
I got my lot from the ever helpful Mike ( www.gt-turbo-spares.co.uk ) who is also on here as well
mine is quite a big fmic, but i removed the crossmember so it all sits behind the OE bumper and grille, air filter is a massive blitz stainless one that fits on my head.. overkill maybe but looks perdy, also fits behind grill in place of OE intercooler
i made a front mount ages back, cost more than it was worth and looked sh1t.. elbow cost mount up, then theres the pipe, then you have to remember you have stacks on joins that could leak boost..
i was told to reduce as many joins and potential leaks, so i f_cked it off and picked up a different set up.. i plan on replacing some of the pipe run as there are still more joins than i want..
theres some nice set ups that people have done, pick the best ideas, bin the rest...
I use universal items always, the universal intercoolers on ebay work very well and come in various sizes.
Also i use some of the universal K&N filters too, measured some up for my 5's in past and my current red 5 too
its awesome, just wanna reduce the number of elbows with the same dodge the dizzy cap idea.. i also wanna go for mikalors and dont wanna pay for more that 4
it last on my list of dreams, i have car painting dreams, flocking dreams and car building dreams standing in the way...
Dreams aye,, You just need too get it painted boyo and start bolting **** on lazy git lol
Dave - you should get yourself a 90deg dizzy off mike, it works a treat
90 deg dizzy, got a link to them, or a link with a picture of 1 mounted in engine bay?
