me again with more questions!
Hi chaps..
So I've managed to rebuild a gearbox.. Seems to spin nice and change gear nicely, only test is when its on the car though!
So ill be taking my engine back out for a re-wire and to sort a few issues. Now come the questions...
Can headgaskets seep oil around the edge? As it seems I'm leaking oil down the top of the bottom end?
Will a standard top rad hose that's knackered I.e sucks in on revs cause my coolant system to pressurise? Only seems to do it when I give it the beans.. Also the water swirl pot that sits by the headlight on mine sits higher than the header tank. Does it need to be lower down to work correctly?
Last one. If I've got oil pissing down the side of my sump (flywheel side) is it likely to be my crank seal? If so do you have any tips on how to put them in as I put a new one in when I rebuilt the engine?
I no there's a fair few questions there but your help would really be appreciated with this as I'm at the end of my teather with it.
