Area Rep updates

Had a thought, when a new member joins and he puts his area in would it be possible for the rep for that area be notified that someone has joined in the area and the who joins gets a noticfication of who Their area rep will be ?

They are already on the list of wanted features, but the club doesn't have a programmer that has enough free time, enthusiasm and who is able to get those features added. Paying for an outside company to do that sort of custom work is very expensive. I don't have the free time at the moment to do any more unfortunately. Maybe in the future.
