If its a 5, the wishbones have a little round hole in, i put the metal spike through them, wrap the chain bpack over the top and bring them forward (wrapping around the wishbone), works fine for me

aye, doesn't look right to me...

I dont put the bace across the a-frame (the middle beam of the A) until the end. I pull the legs hard up against the stay that drops downfrom the inner wing to the subframe. then like Chris says drop the chain down through the hole in the wish bone, this stops any movement. Then nip it semi tight and drop the cross beam in last.

do you need a trailer licence for towing with an aframe as car weighs over 750kg?might also have to be braked?

Technically thats not true.... A-Frames are for recovery only... & towed car needs to be fully road legal...

that style frame you need to jack up car and put the chains up thru the gap in the middle of the wishbone so the rod on the end sticks thru the wishbone and the chain over the top allong to the ratchet straps

dont need to jack it up, I have had no problems getting mine on, just need to jiggle it in from an angle...
