Thinking of selling up and buying a williams

    Hello all

What do you guys think of clio williams pros and cons over the r5 if you have ever owned or driven one?

How good or bad are they on fuel my r5 isn't to bad for the power it makes.

Is it me or are they realy cheep at the moment?I thought I would need a couple grand to get one but they seem to be going for half that.

Very tempted to just sell mine when I get back off holiday and buy one ive always wanted one but could never afford one.

    Thanks for any imput.

I average about 30mpg in mine. I have enjoyed owning it but now it is time to move on. (See my Thread) From my experience they are good, solid realiable cars that if well looked after will run and run. Compared to a GT Turbo, they are full of luxury. They have PAS, Electric mirrors and windows (Williams 3) Much softer and better for day to day use. The only thing they lack is da boooooost!

im going to be having one next year i think. they are getting a rare car to come across just lately. just remember that most of the time the price will reflect on the car. i intend on spending around £2000. but i will be after one that dosent need too much work.

good luck with whatever decision you come to.

Had a go out in a Clio Williams two, I just felt it diddn't rev as nice as the 19s I have had, yes the 19 is a heavier car, but it feels as if when the engine starts pulling nicely you run out of revs, 6.5k limiter, great handling though and definately one of the most comfortable seats for a road going car

slightly off topic but id choose a 306 gti6 over a williams, more car for the money, less rust issues, better handling (imo), and much easier to work on, aswell as tuning potential, also i cant help but think a better looking car aswell.

    Sorry renault lovers.

Personally I think that a Limited run Car like the williams should stay completely standard like this one:-

However its always up to the owner but this car is a fantastic project!
