Your not meant to tow a car with a rope anymore(emergencys only i think or some other grey sorta area) Meant to be a towing bar. And without insurance just ads to the non legal side of things lol suppose ur going to say its not taxed either?

That is correct, a car must be insured if it has wheels touching the road, if it dont have tax or mot this is only acceptable of the car is being taken to a booked MOT!

also u can techincally drive the car to places to get the car repaired...so book it in for a mot near where ur collecting it... when it fails, book in near ur home... job done (would point out this is very dodgy, and although legal police arent stupid)

Despite other posts saying this is acceptable it actually isn't.

If the car is to be taken onto a public road (whether driven or towed) it must be insured.

Other posters are incorrect when they say that it can be driven to or from an MOT testing station for a pre-booked MOT or repair work for MOT. This exception is only for driving it without an MOT or tax.

Being towed on a rope will only seek to draw attention to your vehicle and make it more likely for you to get stopped by the boys in blue which will result in your car being taken off you and replaced with 6 points on your licence.

    It aint worth the risk!!

Just drive it with a mate following so they can block out all police sightings...
