must be time for Mart to pipe up
must be time for Mart to pipe up
Come on Mystic Mart, where's the 'hot off the press' info?
Absolutely, lets get this started! Is there much to say just now though given testing starts tomorrow? The new Mclaren looks quite tasty and the Ferrari is yet again a thing of beauty. (eye of the beholder i know!).
As for a prediction, i have two. Heart = Schumey. Head = Hamilton.
I predict a one point lead to Hamilton over schuey at the end of the season with button in third with mclaren taking the constructors by a small margin over Ferrari!
id love to see button beat lewis!
Sorry, I must've misread your usually sarcastic worded reply...
Booked that ferry yet?
Alonso to be world champ
Merc Benz/Ferrari to be constructors champs
I think the Hammy/Maclaren combo could be detrimental to Buttons success, I hope not!
I think the fact that so many cars will be competitive, theoretically anyway, will make the season so so much more involving
Especially looking forward to Lotus rejoining F1 and Cosworth coming to the fold
If last season is anything to go by, this season will be immense
New poster! (less than 10 posts)
Vettel could be there, red bull run a ferrari engine iirc, just depends what the car is like.
other than that, i think it will between ferrari, m-b, and mclaren
hope Button comes out on top against Hamilton tho
I must say I do rather like the new Renault's colour scheme... whether the car will be any good remains to be seen...
The R30 colours reminds me of the old Jordan F1 cars livery
I's say the favourite drivers for the championship will be: Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel. Massa, Button and Schumacher will all win races and possibly Webber and Rosberg.
As said, the new Renault looks lovely!
Either way im not really all that fussed, as long as a Brit wins. =]
Im looking forward to seeing the Mansell family race together at the LM 24hr race.
The ginetta zytec car looks pretty sweet, and greg & leo couldnt have a better mentor
Im looking forward to qualifying on empty tanks and superfast pit stops where all the pressure is on the guys changing the wheels. I predict more loose wheels on the out lap. The key to who wins the title might come down to who develops the best system for getting the wheels on and off.
Any way sod F1 what really matters is the new speed season that kicks off in a few weeks for me at Harewood. We have new regs that outlaw rose joints in the suspension bringing road modified back towards standard and Doris. Will she be more competitive? I have a new aero package with a front splitter an improved subframe strut brace and a stiffer anti roll bar. Plus another Doris mod in the fuel line to maintain fuel flow to the carb .
Bottom line is that it should turn out to be one of the most interesting seasons ever and that's enough for me. Four former world champions on the grid, one all-Brit team, one all-German team, Alonso in a Ferrari...
I can't see how Button is going to finish ahead of Hamilton. Neither do I think the Red Bulls can get ahead of McLaren, Ferrari AND Merc-Benz often enough to mount a serious challenge on the championship.
My prediction, given that we are prior to any testing of the cars as yet, will see Hamilton and Alonso rising to the top. Who's next I just can't work out in my mind.
Also, it will be interesting to see how close Rosberg can get to Schumi with the same package.
Think it's fair to say Rosberg is now Schumi's bitch

Getting a bit excited about the new season now A week to go
Yo, the race starts at 12.00 UK time on Sunday right?

Sunday dinner (mothering sunday, carvery) is booked for 1.30 about 10 min drive away..
Can anyone confirm the above, need to know if i'm going to need to move the reservation back to 2pm?
My prediction for the Season
1- Lewis
2- Alonso
3- Shuey
4- Massa
5- JB
Roughly.
I must admit this year looks like its going to be very interesting..
I have been reading up on the testing & looking at the pics & some of the cars are pure sex in motion!
Safety car is going to win the session!
What channel is this session being shown on?
This seasons a tough one to call for me. Both Mclarens, both ferraris, both red bulls, you cant rule out schumey either. The BMW's have looked fair in testing and whos to say one of the 'lesser' teams wont surprise us like Brawn did last year?
I cant wait to find out! (I have put a sneaky Ayrton on Schumey tho )
