Valve Stem Seals help

Can anyone tell me how to fit the head valve stem seals i try using a sockit and tap on it but they see to break or crack any help or tips

I don't bother with em personaly, I heard many story of them breaking up and going through the engine but never believed it until I stripped down an old engine and found 6 of the 8 in the sump

I'm doing mine today so will let you know what method I found best as I got a few spares just in case

Leave them off. It will be fine if your valve guides are ok.

Just done all 8 valve stem seals broke 1 using the socket method I then just simply pushed (with a little force) and twisted with my fingers to get them in place all is good now

Don't forget they don't fit on all the way

Shouldn't if the valve guides are in good order, besides all 5's with or without valve steam seals smoke alittle on start up, whats abit more to the mix
