    wanting to get back in a r5 gt turbo

    First post!

    Hi all I've just signed up on here.I'm looking to get another r5 turbo after not having one for over 10 years I've owned 4 in the past included a raider which was mint used to take to shows etc mates used to have them also.I'm just on look out for a project r5 turbo thought maybe someone here can help..thanks and look forward to hearing from you malc

    It really depends on how strong your budget is. Currently I know of cars from a running project that needs welding, mot, tax and other jobs for £1,200 to a mint tungsten grey with all the right toys for £6,500.

    Your best bet is to search the usual channels:

    eBay
    Gumtree
    Pistonheads etc etc

    Or better still the classifieds section of this forum

    Sorry to jump in mid thread but also looking for a 5 currently. Used to own a raider a few years back and looking to relive my youth!

    Are there many advertised in the classifieds on here? not been a member since I got ridof mine so I'll need to sign up

    My raider I had was running 220bhp had a lot gt tunning gear well looked after I used to take it to Weston on wheels this was over 10 years ago and quick car mate bought it off me and he had it nicked we later found it on blocks behind a petrol garage sadly robbed of all its parts such a shame as said I would buy back.so I'm on the hunt for another gt turbo but like say can be a non runner or project that needs tidy jus pm me what have malc

    Says he might sell it not 100% though, does anyone know the car? Looks like the previous owner has left the club

    dontknw the car but that engine the volvo b18ft is great fun to drive and usually has no issues.

    I know the car well and the original person who converted it, good car just needs exterior tarting up. Engine and setup easily capable of 200bhp+ just needs the mapping done properly

    Cheers James, can you recommended anyone to map one of these with the volvo lump?

    That was my 5 needs work mainly body work. There is a good megasquirt mapper at Surrey Rolling Road think they have moved now. Out of interest what is he offering it for?

    Done think scoff mapps megasquirt. No doubt he will easily be able to do it but may be software issues and may be better finding someone knows the lay out etc...
