My car and its new make over

Thought I may as well put up a thread about the old girl. I've had her for 5 years ish I think lol she was one of the lads on here dangerous daves he went on to get another project so was then mine to make it what I wanted. So here's a few pics through the years upto today








Road /track car done a fair few track days now and done at least 4 head gaskets and melted a piston but touch wood she does well on the track now with no issue ( that's me jinxed now )

Engine is c1j
Samcos
285 cam set to 112
Front mount behind bumper
T25 360 bearings running 22psi
Athena head gasket
Adjustable fpr updated pump
BMS down pipe v banded for ease.
Stripped out roll caged
Battery behind passenger seat
Alloy bucket seats

Just got to hot run too hard 'Pop'
Fan again 'pop'
Ran too lean at donnington 'piston'

It's a cheap one off of eBay which I cut and shut to work fiddly but look good in my eyes I have no internal plastics now so satin blacked it and blends in quite well but one day I'll ask Jonathan ward if he can make a 3 pod one but I like to give it a go first 🤓👍🏻

An update on car..

Few bits changed again had my morrettes cold air feed blended in to cover to look factory made and also had them hydro dipped in silver base and carbon over the top just to break the white up on the old girl.




Also had a set of turbines refurbed (powder coated) in fiesta silver.



I also had one of my rocker covers dipped in a one off sticker bomb with all brackets removed and for the sake of it had my new 90' dizzy dipped to in French sticker bomb. To go with my homemade lol scuttle panels.





Went along to a rolling road day at Surrey rolling road with the ADL racing club and met James Sargent and Dave Hunt. Happy with results more the fueling being spot on 👍🏻👍🏻.



next is try and get out in her to as many shows as my Mrs will let me Hahahaha.

Little update had my phase 1 arches and under light trims spruced up and painted in my opinion go well with the lines of car 👍🏻 but are the dirtiest part of car now hahahah


Been to a fair few car shows with the west Berkshire cruisers this summer. Great bunch of people all just love cars. Not a lot else happened apart from giving her a damn good thrashing when ever she's released hahahah

Another year done and had a good year with car doing car shows with west berkshire cruisers which has now had a name change to Berkshire Retro and Custom. Well chuffed that they want me to attend as many shows as i can book this year 👍🏻👍🏻

I fancied a change with car this year wanted to run my sidie which I don't like running with the original exhaust exit open looks funny empty so as I was going to have rear bumper exit removed I went for a few changes to make car look cleaner and fresher. Front bumper.I had airflow holes filled bumper strips removed and smoothed bottom grill opened up to be symmetrical all towing eye holes filled and fog covers dipped to match grill and morrettes. Rear bumper. Smoothed and exhaust exit removed. And rear qtr redone as wasn't happy with a few imperfections.and the loud ass sidie fitted. Oh and my banded steelies 👍🏻👍🏻
