how do u check coil

hi guy does any one know to check the coil for resistance ect thanx guys

i cant remember the actual resistances but check it at least for an open circuit.ohm meter should give at least 2k ohms between main coil output and one of the other connections.there should also be a reading between the positive and neg connections.
