The thing was, at that time, the majority of folk believed whatever he or GT tuning had to say about anything.
Do you remember the argument between Steve and Glen T about "who had the most power"... ? it rolled on and on, Steve assuring the world he had the most, essentially because he'd spent the most money on his engine. Glen responded by pointing out that his own R11 was notably heavier than Steve's R5, and still Glen went dramatically quicker on the drag strip. That was not enough to convince Steve, though

And spot the noticeable absentee, although that's probably due to Steve & I have many a heated discussion back in the day :wasntme: ;)
Remember when the Bridge brothers (BB Tuning) very nearly came to blows with Steve at an old Chelsea/Battersea Park meet-up  Now that is going back many years!
Who was the Irish big GT Tuning customer who was also well up his own ass?
Great days! :D

I'm working on it. Giving Bealo a nudge every now and then to break out the nice prints he has of the car but they are well buried in his loft I think!
I'll post some up when I get them.

Yeah the Irish guy was Jon Semple. Nice guy. Bumped into him at a car show in Ireland in 2004. He still has the car but is a big Evo fan now I think.
That Chelsea meet was my first big GTTOC meet. Had to leave early though as my mate who was with me found out his mum had just been taken into hospital and she died when we were on our way home. :( 1996 i think it was.

People really know how to sell their cars
"The engine spec is just awesome and so is the look of the engine bay."
So where is the spec and where are the pictures. All I see is a yellow and blue blur which does not look nice.

Re: where hav all the famous 5s gone ???
What I think its worth is not a lot. To get that looking anywhere decent enough to drive about you might as well buy another one. The interior is shocking and the wheels will not make it a fun car to drive. If its a show car you are after though, or for keep a piece of history then maybe 3.5k at most, but I dont see the point in a car like that.
-
Re: where hav all the famous 5s gone ???
a car like that is only worth what's someone is prepared to pay for it, looked ok 15 years ago but I personally wouldn't be seen dead driving it about, maybe I'm just getting old :D
