3d Printers
Hi all. Well I have finally got my hands on a 3d printer at long last. I went for an Ultimaker 2 in the end as it seems to have good reviews. Does anybody on here have a 3d printer or use one at all? I will have to teach myself to use it, but any tips will be gratefully received.

I have calibrated it, but can't use it yet as the print filament wasn't in the box  They are sending me one out today though, so I should be able to start playing tomorrow...I hope..lol.
I have a few little easy designs done to hopefully help me get to grips with it, the first one being a new "plip" housing as I have a smashed one amongst my spares . :agree:

Re: 3d Printers
Thanks Trev, I still come in to see what's happening on the good ship RTOC. :agree: After nearly 20yrs here I won't be going anywhere as I still have my 5 tucked away in the garage, but I just have too many other toys & not enough time to use them or look after them all.lol. I dare say the 5 will come out to play again one day & I might even be more active in the club again if that happens. ;)
It will be great if it all works. I'm a total newb to 3d printing, but luckily I have been designing parts in solidworks for a few years now so that should give me a good headstart....I hope.
