What coilover spring ratings and length do you run on your road cars?

Just wondered what others run?
I've got gaz golds and am unsure what springs I have.
What length and rating do you run on your road not track cars?
I want it as low and comfortable as possible.

I Experimented a few years back with various coilover and spring rating's 250lbs, 310lbs, 410 lbs, 450lbs, 500lbs and even 550lbs , I ended up with 450lbs hard setup but handled fantastic but literally was a bone shaker on bumpy roads.

Your Gaz coilover springs will be around 200lbs unless you requested different springs rating's, I always found my spax krypto gas coilovers to be a good all round kit they used 310lbs springs on there kit's. I would suggest 310lbs for a nice ride but also decent handling

Oh, that's where they are ;)

I prefer to work with tarmac rally rates, which in my Twingo would have been around 225lb, but I didn't have enough suspension travel so ended up with 275lb, they are too stiff for our bumpy lanes, but I can't go softer as I'm out of travel. I think you probably need a stiffer antiroll bar to get the best from a tarmac rate.

How low were you running? I want to run as low as possible.

I was pretty low at the front and rear, at the front I had to cut the outer wing behind the bodykit by 1" to allow for clearance, and I had to skim the bodykit arch aswell for clearance on turning.

I may just take a punt on the eBay 300s if you don't still have yours?

I have a few sets of springs, cant remember exactly what they are though.

Will be changing my 350lb soon. Probably to hard for road use.

if you want to go low you might need to go stiffer, with 400lb springs in my 5 I could get away with 1" bump travel, but that was a very light car.

My car's stripped (800kg with a full tank of fuel) and I run 250's with my Leda Coilovers and they are very stiff for Australian roads. I wouldn't go any stiffer. That said I do have my front struts set around mid adjustment bump/rebound stiffness and that makes a big difference.

250s are probably a little soft for track work though.

Like Andy has said, if you want the 'stanced' low ride, you will have to go stiffer to avoid bottoming out/body contact.
